Since 2014, over 1.7 million people in Ukraine have registered as internally displaced persons, the largest number in Europe since the Second World War. Based on fieldwork in Ukraine, this talk highlights state respons- es to this overlooked crisis, its impact on the lives of displaced people, and why the crisis matters for Europe.
