Students should consult the Kelley School of Business for details regarding the MBA requirements for this joint degree.
Proficiency of at least intermediate mid to intermediate high in one approved European language.
To be eligible for the dual MA/MBA program, students must apply to the two Master's programs separately. The MA/MBA is open to students who have been accepted to both the MA program in EURO (in the University Graduate School) and the Master of Business Administration program in the School of Business.
The student must select a thesis advisory committee of at least three faculty members representing both EURO and the School of Business. EURO adheres to thesis format and printing requirements set by the University Graduate School. Master's theses range in length from 50 to 75 pages, not to exceed 100 pages.
Admitted students begin their work in the College of Arts and Sciences. Work during the first year of the MA program typically includes enrolling in courses in accordance with MA requirements. We strongly advise students to spend their first program year completing requirements for the EURO MA.
Students complete the required core courses in the MBA program at the Business School.
Students complete their course work in Area Studies and the Business School and begin work on the Master's thesis. Area studies work in the third year typically includes completion of remaining course requirements and language instruction, plus enrollment in thesis hours.
Students are ultimately responsible for verifying that they have indeed fulfilled all degree requirements. Candidates are advised to regularly meet with the Director to verify course schedules before registering and to confirm that all the necessary signatures and documents are on file.
