Full Biography

Tara has been teaching ecology and environmental biology at IU in some capacity since 2009. For several years, she was also involved in the Biology Department's Outreach program that brought state standard-based science lessons to MCCSC Kindergarten and 3rd grade classrooms. She also helped to develop Outreach's week-long Biology Summer Institute, which pairs Indiana high school biology teachers with IU Biology faculty to develop inquiry-based laboratory experiments and lesson plans for their high school classes. Tara currently teaches full-time, with the exception of summers when she instead heads up "Mama Camp" for her two daughters.
