Minor in European Studies

Add a European Studies minor to your undergraduate program

We offer undergraduate students the opportunity to focus on the ever-changing nature of Europe through our minor. Along with providing a deeper understanding of European politics and cultural issues, our program prepares students with foundational skills that lead to professional careers in many fields.

What makes a EURO minor?

The minor in European Studies will empower you with a broad understanding of the historical significance, social structure, political features, and cultural aspects of European countries. The minor requires 18 credit hours of course work, and 9 of these must be taken on the IU Bloomington campus. Students must complete a minimum of 9 credit hours of upper-level (300–400) courses.

A list of current cross-listed courses is available through the Institute for European Studies advisor. See the complete degree bulletin here.
