The IU Institute for European Studies (EURO) is announcing a grant opportunity for IU students pursuing Irish language learning in the Summer 2025 term. Through a partnership with the Fulbright Commission in Ireland, EURO is offering up to $5,000 to support student travel to Ireland for language study.
Application materials:
- Statement of Purpose (500-600 words) about your academic and/or professional trajectory and goals and why Irish language acquisition is important to you.
- CV or resume
- Information on the intended language program.
- Approximate budget, including the costs of the language program, travel, and accommodations.
- Other forms of confirmed or anticipated funding.
The following language programs are eligible for study, though students may propose other programs for consideration:
- University of Galway International Students Language Summer Course.
- Oideas Gael’s week-long & weekend language courses.
- Gael linn: Course A: 22nd June- 28th June 2025.
Application deadline: Friday, January 31st at 5pm EST
